Peter Steele – Biography

Peter Steele is a trance producer and DJ who has been shaping the scene since 2015, known for his unique melodic style and driving energy. His sound blends futuristic trance elements with the essence of the late ’90s — inspired by pioneers like Paul van Dyk — making his music synonymous with the pure trance movement. His releases have found homes on respected labels including Black Hole, Borderline Music, and Pure Trance.

Peter’s breakthrough arrived in 2018 with the track “Zen”, featured on CD3 of In Search Of Sunrise 14, curated by Andy Moor. Two years later, he returned to the iconic series when Giuseppe Ottaviani selected “Karma” for CD2 of In Search Of Sunrise. Released on GO Music, the track earned massive support from top-tier artists including Paul van Dyk and received an official remix by Sneijder.

The year 2020 continued this momentum with the release of “Summer Rain”, “The Fire” (a collaboration with Craig Connelly), and “To The Stars” (with Nikolauss). In 2021, Peter delivered another trio of powerful productions: “Creation”, “Singularity” with Sebastian Brandt, and “Strike A Chord”. His music has also been featured across widely acclaimed compilation albums including Pure Trance, In Search of Sunrise, Subculture, and Simon Patterson’s Solo on VII, while his special guest appearance on Craig Connelly’s album A Sharper Edge further fortified his presence in the global trance culture.

On stage, Peter Steele is known for delivering sets crafted specifically for each event, carefully selecting tracks to build a deep connection with the crowd. His first major festival performance came at Luminosity Beach Festival 2018, playing on Solarstone’s Pure Trance Stage. Later that year, he made his debut at Amsterdam Dance Event, performing alongside Paul van Dyk at the iconic Club Panama in Amsterdam. Shows across the UK and the Netherlands have solidified his passion for engaging with audiences and witnessing firsthand their response to his music.

A pivotal moment in his live career came in 2022, when Peter finally stepped onto the Main Stage at Luminosity Beach Festival. Originally planned for 2020, the event’s delays made this moment even more meaningful. His set opened with the tracks that first sparked his fascination with electronic music — from the high-energy impact of The Prodigy to the progressive legacy of Sasha & Digweed, and ultimately the two titans of trance: Paul van Dyk and Paul Oakenfold. Having these very producers support and play his music stands as a dream realized.

Today, Peter Steele continues to elevate his international presence, performing at major festivals such as ADE, Luminosity, and Unkonscious. With fan-favorites like “Karma” and “Mantra”, and more releases on the horizon, his melodic and emotionally driven sound is resonating with a rapidly growing global audience.
