Andy Paterson
Biography

Influenced by legends such as Ferry Corsten, Paul van Dyk, and Matt Darey—especially their iconic productions from the late ’90s and early 2000s—Andy found his creative direction in the uplifting and tech-driven side of trance. At 17, he bought his first set of turntables and began collecting records, diving deep into DJing before naturally progressing into music production.
Over the past decade, Andy has refined his craft in his Ayrshire-based studio, where his signature sound fuses euphoric melodies, driving basslines, and the unmistakable Super Saw leads of the Roland JP-8000—complemented by his enduring love for the Acid 303 sound.
His dedication and evolution as a producer have led to multiple releases on respected labels such as Dauntless Digital Gold & Silver, Rubber Taxi Records, and LLOKKO Recordings. His track ‘Shockwave Control’ even earned national recognition with airplay on BBC Radio One, a milestone that affirmed his place in the UK trance scene.
In 2024, Andy released ‘Somnia’ featuring Roberta Childs, and his latest track ‘Counter Spike’ dropped exclusively via Juno Download before reaching all major platforms. With a growing discography and a solid foothold in the underground trance community, he shows no signs of slowing down.
Working just next door to James Allan of Public Domain fame has also fueled Andy’s inspiration, pushing him to explore new sonic landscapes and continue raising the bar with every release.
Andy Paterson’s passion, precision, and dedication to trance music shine through in every track, and with more music on the horizon, he continues to captivate fans and dancefloors worldwide.
