With an unrelenting drive for innovation and an insatiable passion for music, Danny has carved a unique path through the international music industry, earning recognition as one of Spain’s most successful electronic artists.
Danny’s journey began at the early age of 12 when he started experimenting with DJing. By 13, he was already producing his own tracks, showcasing an extraordinary musical maturity well beyond his years. His professional debut came in 2010 when he began playing in renowned Spanish clubs such as Kapital in Madrid. In 2011, his talent was formally recognized when he won the prestigious “DJ Revelación” (Breakthrough DJ) award at the Vicious Music Awards in Spain—an early sign of the global force he would soon become.
A turning point in Danny Avila’s career arrived in 2012, when he was invited by Tiësto to play alongside him at the iconic Pacha Ibiza. This high-profile performance helped launch Danny onto the global stage. Over the years, Danny has released music on some of the world’s most reputable labels, such as SONY Music, Interscope, Spinnin’ Records, Musical Freedom, Ultra Music, Hexagon, and Heartfeldt Records. His productions reflect his wide-ranging musical tastes, attention to detail, and ability to craft both club anthems and radio-friendly hits.
Danny’s presence in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll further illustrates his global appeal. He entered the ranking in 2017 at #52 and steadily climbed over the years, reaching an impressive #34 in 2021, making him the highest-ranked Spanish DJ in the history of the poll.

He has collaborated with lifestyle brands like New Yorker and tigha, merging music and fashion with his edgy, street-smart image. In 2014, he joined forces with Electric Family to release a charity bracelet supporting Doctors Without Borders, demonstrating his commitment to using his platform for social good.

Mainstage Techno
Hard hitting techno has long been married to dark nightclubs. Basslines snake through underground bunkers, and kick drums thump through warehouse party spots. But what if this underground sound could light up the world’s biggest arenas? Enter – Mainstage Techno. Danny Avila’s latest interpretation on techno takes the white-knuckled strength of the best techno records – the kick, the bass, the hardness – and reimagines them for massive crowds. It’s the sound of the underground music he grew up performing, yet bolder. Think: state of the art techno and its deep-in-the-club sonics, but tailor made for thumping across the main stage. Premiered in 2021 at Tomorrowland’s Around The World festival, Mainstage Techno brings Avila’s underground roots together with massive presence. It’s music made to be played on huge stages with massive crowds. And more than anything, it’s a journey – one taking Avila back to his DJing roots and the tracks he loves, with all of the knowledge gained from performing to hundreds of thousands of crowds. Welcome to and Danny Avila’s next progressive era.
